AJ joined us back in July 2020 after being abandoned in a feral colony in Greensboro NC. The property was to be sold and demolished, prompting our friend and colony caretaker, to contact us. She quickly realized he was the furthest thing from feral, established his trust, and scooped him up. In tribute and memory to another resident Abner who arrived here under similar circumstances, we welcomed “Abner Junior” to the Head Butt Hotel. Not without drama, while undergoing his routine neuter and vaccines, he went into cardiac arrest and the quick actions of the vet, administering CPR and oxygen, saved his life. He’s come a long way since his arrival, still skiddish and leery of some of the more alpha personalities here, but a sweet guy and one of our rags to riches Head Butt Hotel residents.
